Youth Trapshooting Team Tryouts
The Janesville Conservation Club is holding youth shooting team tryouts on Saturday, March 16th. Rain date is March 23rd if needed. You will need $10 for one box of ammunition (must be purchased at the club) and 25 Targets.
Shooters will be judged on shooting ability/potential, character/leadership traits, and responsiveness to training.
Members of the team will learn trapshooting techniques necessary to compete in the Amateur Trapshooting Association's registered shooting competitions while participating in the ATA's youth program, AIM (Academics - Integrity - Marksmanship). Some travel required.
Space on the team is limited
Requirements for the Shooting Team
- Open to boys and girls 12 - 18 years of age
- 12 gauge shotgun in good working condition
- Help with fundraising to support the team
- Willingness to help with club shoots
- $125 entry fee if selected for the team (can be earned back)
- Membership in the ATA and AIM programs ($25)
